- Be between a rock and a hard place. Entre la espada y la pared.
- You are pulling my leg: Me estás tomando el pelo.
- It rings a bell: Me suena.
- A bad writer blames his pen: un mal escritor culpa a su pluma.
- A chip off the old block: de tal palo tal astilla.
- A bird in the hand is worth two in the bus: Más vale pájaro en mano que ciento volando.
- Ad fuel to the fire: Echar leña al fuego.
- Against the clock: A contrareloj
